Help: My Account

Your profile is what friends, family and others in your community will see about you on Mennonite Heritage Portrait. It is a reflection of you. You can include a short bio, research interests, a photo of yourself, and anything else that you feel would be important or interesting for others to know about you.

You will find the following tabs on the My Account page:

The General Tab
The General
tab allows you to update the basic personal information you entered when you started your MHP account, including your First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, Password, your Secret Question and Answer.

The Profile Info Tab
The Profile Info
tab allows you to enter any information that you would like others to know about you. You can include a short bio in the About Me section, list your Research Interests, and note your current Workplace.

The Location Tab
The Location
tab allows you to enter your address or a description of your location. You can also add your location to the map so other MHP members can find you when conducting a User Map Search. Adding your location to your profile can also provide context for your comments in forums or content you add to MHP, as each Mennonite community and local area has distinct qualities. In order to protect your privacy, MHP recommends using a general location such as Kitchener, ON instead of your full address. If you only want to show your location to your contacts list, you can change your privacy settings.

The Preferences Tab
The
Preferences tab allows you to set how many Results per page you would like to view when conducting a search.
